Airport Reopens for Commercial Flights at 10:00 a.m.

SIOUX CITY, IA - Glenn S. Januska, A.A.E., Sioux Gateway Airport Director announced that the Airport will open for commercial and general aviation flights at 10:00 a.m. this morning. “We have certified to the FAA that all of our security directive items have been completed and have received notice from the Federal Aviation Administration that we have been ‘cleared’ to open at 10:00,” said Januska. Even though the Airport has been cleared to open, airline flight status is uncertain. Passengers should contact their airline for flight status and booking. The Airport remains at a heightened state of security in light of the recent terrorist attack.
